Relish helps Kensington Prep School girls to ‘bite-size’ business success
As part of their Entrepreneurial Challenge project – to launch a canapé business from scratch – the school approached Relish to share expertise in getting a foodie business off the ground with their budding ‘entrée-preneurs’!
We’re really excited to be involved; as business women and mums of daughters ourselves, we think this initiative is a superb way to introduce more young women to running their own business, giving them the confidence and skills they need to get their ideas off the ground.
We’ll be helping the girls with how to market their ideas to best effect, and will be part of a project supported by restaurateurs, graphic designers, food science experts, chefs and caterers too.
Mrs. Raines, Deputy Head of Kensington Prep, told us about the thinking behind the project: “We’ve devised Kensington Prep School’s Entrepreneur Challenge to help young girls apply what they’ve learnt at school to the commercial world and start to gain first hand practical experience of the issues involved in setting up a successful business. Marketing is a key feature of any food sector business plan and that’s why we are calling on food marketing experts Relish to help the girls get their ideas from the drawing board to the dining table. We are thrilled they are joining the Challenge and sharing their expertise with our girls,” she explained.
Hoping the project will light a spark in these future business women, we look forward to following their progress and spotting some new foodie brands in the market place in the years to come!
