Open for Entry – Food Awards
There’s seems to be a mass of food industry awards open for entry at the moment.
Ocado are looking for ‘Britain’s Next Top Supplier’ and they are searching the nation for the next big thing in food and drink.
The award is being backed by retail legend Sir Stuart Rose and chef Tom Kerridge and together they will sit on a judging panel with Ocado’s buyers and a shortlist of entrants will be invited to deliver a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style business pitch.
The winning product or range will secure a listing in Ocado for six months (with an option to extend), plus £10,000 to promote their product through Ocado’s website, marketing and social media channels.
The award is open for new or small food and drink producers who want to sell the products nationwide, as long as the product isn’t stocked at another major supermarket. You’ll have to be quick though as closing date for entries is Sunday 16th February. To register your interest and receive an entry pack simply email [email protected]
BBC Food and Farming Award 2014 celebrates the best of British food and those companies and individuals who grow, make and supply it. The judging panels consists of top chefs, food writers and drinks experts.
There are 10 different categories from Best Street Food to Best British Market, simply place your nominations on line at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03nycpj/features/awards-categories by midnight on Monday 27th January.
The iTQi jury of 120 celebrity Chefs and Sommeliers carefully evaluate consumer food and drink on a blind basis. Products are not in competition but are tested for their sole merits, within their own category.
Hundreds of small and large food and drink producers around the world are using the award to grow their businesses to differentiate their products and through marketing activities.
